A team of talented lads in Lviv (that’s in the Ukraine, for you non-geographers) set out to develop some Flash tools to animate publications to make them look more real. During the course of their labours, they crossed paths with Alex, the hero of our tale.
Alex is a Moscovite. He came to London a little while back and has been on a crusade ever since. He reckons that there is an enormous wealth of technical knowledge and capability lying ignored, untapped and badly financed out there in the former Soviet Union, and that we’re all missing out on a good thing here in the West.
Like all good entrepreneurs, he capitalised.
And so, Lemberg Solutions came into existence as a 50-50 joint venture between Alex and the team in Lviv. Alex supplied some resources for the team and the first release of the product was finished. Since then, there have been more than a few improvements.
It’s really important to us at Lemberg Solutions that you understand that we’re not another outsourcing company exercising Western purchasing power to enslave those less fortunate than ourselves. We’re sharing value with the people who make it happen; we’re investing in facilities and personnel in places that are economically disadvantaged, and we’re helping talented people use their skills to improve their lot in life.
Having said all of that, we’re incorporated in the UK which means we pay British VAT and corporation tax, so we’re making our contribution here as well.
